ARQUITECTURAS CORRIENTES   works as a research and design studio, focussing in areas beyond architecture that today have an increasing influence on architecture itself: media and politics. It’s main goal is understanding architecture as a complex phenomenon interacting with urbanism, media and sociology.

Maria Anton-Barco is a practitioner, researcher and educator. She earned her Title of Architect and her PhD from University CEU San Pablo in Madrid, Spain. She is a registered architect at COAM. Since 2015, she is the Director of the Interior Design Program at ESNE -University School of Design, Innovation and Technology, Madrid.

She has participated in several research projects. She has been awarded a FPI Grant and various Travel-Research Grants to support her PhD  Architecture research.  She has participated in various international symposia and she has published articles on construction technology, Spanish XX-C architecture, landscape topics and theory.
